Scouting programs at Divine Mercy are a way for students to discover fun and friendship while building character, leadership, and confidence through activities and projects.
Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts USA is a nationwide organization whose mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Through field trips, community service, and other fun projects, girls are empowered to explore the world around them and give back to their community. Divine Mercy offers four levels of Girl Scouts for students:
We are currently in need of troop leaders for K5-3rd grade scouts. Please contact the school office if you are interested.
Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts of America is a nationwide organization whose mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Boys learn teamwork, leadership, and other critical life skills through outdoor activities and structured competitions. Divine Mercy offers three levels of Boy Scouts for students:
Students develop the skills of positive leadership through the Divine Mercy Student Council. This student-led group works with an advisor to plan events that build school spirit, provide service to the community, and develop a positive learning and social environment.
Recent projects organized by the students include a “Pink Out” day to support the MACC Fund and a Bucks PB&J drive.
Purpose and Eligibility
The purpose of the Divine Mercy School Choir is to lead and inspire the community to raise their voices and hearts in song during mass and other prayer opportunities. One of St. Augustine’s most famous quotes is, “To sing well is to pray twice.”
Students in Grades 3-8 are eligible to participate in our Middle School Choir. There is no audition required to participate, however, everyone is expected to come with a willingness and genuine desire to participate in singing with the choir. Consistent attendance is expected, including weekday masses and the monthly youth-led masses on the weekends.
Weekend Masses
The DM School Choir will occasionally have an opportunity to sing once a month for our weekend liturgies at our main worship site, 800 Marquette Ave. A schedule will be emailed as the dates approach.

Service and Worship are the two most important acts we perform as Catholics. Being a server means more than just helping the priest at mass. By becoming a server, you are entering into a life of service in the Church. Many adults who are ministers today started by becoming a server when they were young. Servers serve the assembly, assist the priest and deacon, and serve God!
At Divine Mercy, servers generally start in 4th grade from both our day school and Christian Formation program. Servers meet 15 minutes before mass to get dressed, light candles, and pray with other ministers. During mass, servers carry items used during worship such as candles, crosses, books, and sacred vessels.
Contact Amanda Decker to sign-up to be a Server.
